Postage stamps for sending letters can be acquired in any tobacconist's, in hotel reception or in the Post Office itself. Likewise, letters can be sent from any yellow letterbox in the city.

The central post office is inside the Palacio de Comunicaciones, located in Cibeles Plaza. Opening hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and again from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
