Other interesting structures, and those we cannot omit are:
Hotel

Templo de Debod :temple :Plaza Marques de Cerralbo. Madrid 28008
Ermita de San Isidro : hermitage : Paseo de la Ermita del Santo.

HOTEL
RITZ
This
is one of the first hotels of its category built in Madrid. Opened
in 1910, this building was created under an incomparable standard
of luxury and was aimed toward Spanish and foreign high society.
Spain was the country of inns and boarding houses, but the creation
of the Ritz and two years after the Palace, changed the image of
our country. Illustrious personalities and all kinds of people of
authority, presidents, etc., have passed through this hotel.
The
garden of the Ritz must also be highlighted, a terrace that has
always been a place for celebrations and meetings. It is located
in really a privileged place, a refuge from the noise right in the
downtown.
Until
a few years ago, the policy of the hotel, to maintain its privacy
and reserve, was to refuse admittance to show people or sports stars
in order to avoid the calm being broken by the massive influx of
media or the curious. A funny anecdote happened around the 50s:
James Stewart, who had been denied access because he was an actor,
was accepted immediately upon proving his belonging to the army
of the United States.
TEMPLO
DE DEBOD
This
temple is possibly one of the most recent structures that we could
denominate as a place with charm. It has been located on the Principe
Pio mountain since 1970, but its origin is older than any other
structure in the city. It is an Egyptian temple contructed in the
name of the god Amon in the 2nd century B.C. It is a gift from Egypt
to Spain in thanks for its collaboration in the transfer of the
Abu-Simbel temple in order to facilitate the construction of the
Assuan dam. It is a tap into a thousand-year culture such as Egypt.
ERMITA
DE SAN ISIDRO
This
hermitage is one of the oldest hermitages of the city and is also
the sanctuary built in honor of the city's patron saint: Isidro.
According to the stories, this hermitage is built on the place where
the Saint miraculously made a water spring come forth. Its waters
cured the illnesses of Carlos I and his son, and in appreciation,
the empress Isabel ordered this chapel to be constructed over the
site. It is, then, a nod toward the patron of Real Villa and the
Court of Madrid.
